June Trip to Penang
Another story of trip to Penang....
We reached the interchange where to direct us to the Penang Bridge from Juru roughly around 11:30pm on the 18th June 2008. It was kinda late when reached the island. Most of the hawker stalls with famous foods are closed. So, we filled our stomach with some Mamak(indian) foods just around the corner and went hope for a good night sleep.
Juru Toll
The first daylight in Penang after we met up with some of my colleagues, we went for some hawker stalls hunting. They ended up for the Famous Chendol - Ice Kacang at Penang Road...
Stall 1 (located on the left side)..believed to be the famous one
Stall 2 (located on the right side)....believed to be the tastier one
Special Fried Rice with Taiwanese sausage.....well fried and not oily
Deep Fried Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk and Sausage fillings...tasted nice with shredded ginger and raddish.
Steamed 3 colored eggs(三黄蛋)
Durians..............The King of Fruits.................
We went to one of our colleague's family durian stalls located at Balik Pulau. This is what durian wholesaler did. Segmentize the durians....
The is one of the best...I believe durian lovers can't resist the temptations. It's un-be-lie-ve-a-ble nice durians.
We had a lots......and.....
Well, the aftermaths....also come with Mangosteen which as known as Queen of Fruits
After the durianated-tea-time, we went the the hills of Durians. Amazingly huge and according to our colleagues, the durian are netted for a better selling price. Some even being tied with a nylon rope.
A Nutmeg seed found...looks cute and it doesn't smell like the oilment
Seen fresh COCOA before?? Nah!...here's one....it came with sourly taste...nothing much like our chocolate powder.
Penang Dam located at Teluk Bahang. It's viewable when u gone round the island...it's about 3-5 minutes from the butterfly farm.

This lovely little lady never stops and she's also a niece from my gf's side.
